Our Concerns

In regards to Pulte's proposal

We oppose the Proposed Pulte Homes petition before the Board of Zoning Appeals on July 10, 2018 (Continuance).  Pulte Homes is seeking to use an alliance with Little League International to put in a high-density development that essentially changes zoning by requiring EXTREME VARIANCES that push the houses closer to the road than is currently allowed, creates smaller lots sizes than is zoned currently and would allow a private property owned by an outside corporation to act as the development’s open space.

  • This is a private project pushed through by private citizens, several of whom who also happen to serve as Town Governing officials. Town Council donated $10K of town money to pitch this. As a whole the citizens of Zionsville have had NO SAY in any of this happening.

  • The Pulte development as proposed is significantly NEGATIVE to all area residents’ health, safety and welfare through massively increased density and traffic and loss of property values, transferring DOLLARS from area homeowners to Pulte and Little League International.   WE ALL PAY THE TRUE COST!

  • Little League HQ will be a private property and not open to the public.  It will be fenced and secured from public entry.  It is NOT a community asset.

  • Little League HQ will NOT pay taxes on it’s 18-acre parcel of prime Zionsville real estate.

  • Little League HQ in the proposed location poses minimal benefit to Zionsville businesses.

  • The private citizens who promised Little League International this “free land” also have only raised $500K of the $1.5MILLION they promised to offset LLI’s build costs. This LACK OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT shows that citizens do not see the benefits and are not willing to invest their money here.

  • Stand up for PRESERVING ZIONSVILLE SO THAT THIS WON’T HAPPEN ON A FIELD NEAR YOU!
